Enable workspace badges
Choose which participation badges are active and understand how they are awarded.
Engagement settings let a workspace admin activate badge definitions supplied by the platform. Automatic badges recognise completed surveys, scored demos or project participation; manual badges are awarded from a stakeholder profile.
Before you start
• Workspace admin access is required.
• Review the description, criterion type and threshold so participants are not encouraged toward an unintended behaviour.
Step by step
1. Open Engagement
Go to Settings → Engagement and review the enabled count and every available badge card.
2. Inspect the criterion
Read whether the badge is automatic or manual and, for automatic badges, the activity and threshold that trigger it.
3. Enable or disable a badge
Select a badge card to toggle it. Use Enable all or Disable all only when the workspace intends the same state for the full catalogue.
4. Award a manual badge
Open the relevant stakeholder profile and use the available badge action. Record recognition only when the stated criterion has been met.
5. Review the participant experience
Check the stakeholder profile and Leaderboard to confirm enabled badges appear in the intended context.
What happens next
• Automatic awards occur when qualifying activity completes after the badge is enabled.
• Disabling a badge stops future use but should not be treated as deleting the evidence behind prior participation.
Troubleshooting
No badges are listed
The platform has not configured badge definitions for the workspace. There is nothing for a workspace admin to create on this page.
A participant met the threshold but has no badge
Confirm the badge was enabled at the relevant time and that the underlying survey, demo or project activity is marked complete.
