Connect Slack to selection updates
Send supported project milestones to a chosen Slack channel.
The Slack connector sends supported selection milestones—such as a winner being selected, a decision being sent for approval or RFI responses arriving—to one channel through an incoming webhook.
Before you start
• You need workspace admin access in Disqovr and permission to create or receive an incoming webhook in Slack.
• Choose a channel whose membership is appropriate for the project events it may receive.
Step by step
1. Create the Slack webhook
In Slack, add or configure Incoming Webhooks for the intended workspace and channel, then copy the generated HTTPS webhook URL.
2. Open the Slack integration
In Disqovr, go to Settings → Integrations → Slack.
3. Save the endpoint
Paste the webhook URL, select Send selection updates to Slack and choose Save.
4. Send a test message
Choose Send test message and confirm it appears in the expected channel under the expected app identity.
5. Verify the audience
Review channel membership before enabling the connector for production project activity.
What happens next
• Supported milestone events are sent while the integration remains enabled and the webhook remains valid.
• Changing the Slack channel requires replacing the webhook with one created for the new destination.
Troubleshooting
The test says the webhook is invalid
Copy the complete HTTPS URL directly from Slack, remove leading or trailing spaces and confirm the webhook was not revoked.
The test succeeds but live updates are absent
Confirm the connector remains enabled and that the action produced one of the supported milestone events.
Updates go to the wrong channel
Create a webhook for the correct channel and replace the saved URL; the destination is controlled by Slack.
