Frequently asked questions
Answers to the questions teams ask before they pick Disqovr. Can't find what you're after? Get in touch.
General
What is Disqovr for, exactly?+
Disqovr is a structured platform for choosing enterprise software. Instead of running an evaluation in spreadsheets and email threads, you run it through a defensible process — stakeholder surveys, vendor RFIs, demo scoring, sandbox testing, and a weighted final report — with full traceability of how you got to your decision.
Who is this built for?+
Teams that are about to spend serious money on software — typically six figures or more — and want to defend the decision internally. That's usually procurement-led IT, HR, finance and operations buyers in mid-market and enterprise organisations. If you're evaluating a $5,000/year SaaS, it's overkill; if you're evaluating a $500,000 platform, it's essential.
How are you different from a spreadsheet?+
Three ways. First, every stakeholder scores independently before the loudest voice in the room sways everyone else. Second, vendors respond directly through a portal so their answers aren't filtered through your project lead. Third, the final decision links back through every score, every comment, every RFI answer — so when your CFO asks "why this one?" six months later, the trail is there.
Can I bring my own team and external stakeholders into the same evaluation?+
Yes — that's the standard pattern. Team members log in normally. External stakeholders (the end-users of the software, departmental experts, executives) participate via shareable links — no account creation required for them, but their responses still attach to a tracked stakeholder record so they can earn badges and be invited to future evaluations.
Pricing
How much does it cost?+
See the pricing page for current numbers. Subscription tiers: Starter for a single active project, Pro for several, Business for unlimited, and Enterprise for custom needs. Everything is flat-rate per active project — we don't charge per stakeholder or per vendor. Try the 14-day free trial first.
Is there a free trial?+
Yes — 14 days, no card required. You can build a real evaluation end to end and see exactly how it works before deciding on a plan.
Do you charge per user or per vendor?+
No. We charge for active projects, not per seat — you're never billed per stakeholder or per vendor. Higher tiers lift the limits on projects, stakeholders and surveys. We think per-seat pricing pushes teams to share logins, which is bad for everyone.
How it works
Can I bring an evaluation that's already underway?+
Yes. The platform supports four scopes: discovery only, discovery + demos, full evaluation (surveys + RFI + demos + scoring), or RFI-only if you've already done the upstream work elsewhere. Pick what matches where you are.
How long does a typical evaluation take?+
It depends on the category and how disciplined your team is, but most evaluations land in 4–8 weeks: 1 week for requirements survey + vendor longlist, 2–3 weeks for demos and RFIs, 1 week for stakeholder sandbox testing, 1 week for decision. The platform doesn't make it faster by removing rigour — it makes it faster by removing the spreadsheet wrangling.
What happens if we don't like any of the vendors?+
You reject all and iterate — add more vendors, rerun the relevant stages. The platform keeps a full audit trail of what you considered and why nothing met your bar, which is itself useful internally.
Do you replace our procurement process?+
No — we live alongside it. Disqovr handles the evaluation and decision; your procurement team handles contracting, legal review, and ongoing vendor management. We export everything you need to brief them when you hand over.
Security & data
Where is our data stored?+
On managed Supabase (PostgreSQL, authentication, and file storage) and Vercel. Hosting region and backup configuration details are available to customers on request. All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS). See the security page for the full list of controls.
Is Disqovr SOC 2 certified?+
Not yet. We're building toward a SOC 2 Type I report and maintain an internal readiness gap analysis — see the security page for current status. In the meantime, we can sign DPAs and complete security questionnaires for enterprise prospects.
Can vendors we evaluate see each others' responses?+
Absolutely not. Each vendor gets a scoped token that only ever sees their own project. They never know who else you're evaluating, what others have submitted, or what scores you've given them (unless you explicitly choose to share anonymous aggregates back, which is a per-vendor toggle).
What happens to our data if we cancel?+
You keep read-only access for 30 days post-cancellation to export everything. After 30 days the workspace moves to a 12-month archive (recoverable on request) and then is hard-deleted. Stripe receipts and audit logs are retained per tax/compliance requirements.
Integrations
Do you integrate with Slack / Teams / Outlook?+
Slack and Teams integrations are on the roadmap (Q1 2026). Calendar integration for demo scheduling is planned for the same window. In the meantime, every email we send has reply-back, every link is shareable, and you can export to ICS.
Can vendors export their RFI response?+
Yes — vendors can download their submitted RFI as PDF for their own records.
Do you have an API?+
A read-only REST API for projects, scores and decisions is on the Pro roadmap. Webhooks for key events (project complete, vendor selected) are available now to Enterprise plans on request.
