Submit a vendor that is missing from the directory
Create a private workspace vendor after checking that the company is genuinely missing.
Use vendor submission for a company that cannot be found under its name, trading name or website. The submission creates a workspace record your team can work with while any directory review is handled separately. Provide factual company information only; project opinions, contact negotiations and evaluation evidence belong on the project vendor relationship.
Before you start
• Search Vendors → All and Vendors → Your vendors using the company name, former name and website domain.
• Collect a public website and enough identifying information to distinguish the company from similarly named vendors.
Step by step
1. Open the submission form
From Vendors, choose Submit vendor, or follow the missing-vendor option from a project’s Add vendor page.
2. Enter the company identity
Add the recognised company name, website and the requested category or descriptive fields. Use publicly verifiable language rather than sales claims copied without review.
3. Check for a final match
Review any possible matches shown while entering the company. Stop and use an existing record when the domain or legal identity matches.
4. Submit the record
Confirm the details and submit. The vendor appears under Your vendors as a private workspace record; submission does not invite the vendor or make it a participant in a project.
5. Add it where needed
Open the intended project, choose Add vendor and select the new workspace record. Continue contacts, evidence and status management from that project relationship.
What happens next
• Keep the workspace record factual so another team can recognise and reuse it.
• Add the vendor to only the projects where the organisation is genuinely being considered.
Troubleshooting
The website is rejected or a possible duplicate appears
Use the company’s canonical public domain and inspect the suggested record. Do not alter spelling merely to bypass duplicate protection.
The submitted vendor is not in the public directory
A workspace submission is private under Your vendors unless and until directory review promotes it. You can still add the private record to your projects.
The record exists but is not selectable in a project
Confirm you are in the same workspace and have project edit access, then search by its exact name in Add vendor.
