Manage detailed project settings
Maintain project identity, access, stages, scoring, dates, outcome and deletion controls.
Project settings contains controls that change the project itself rather than one evidence stream. The tabs are deliberately separated so identity, access, workflow and destructive actions are reviewed in the right context.
Before you start
• You need project write access for ordinary changes.
• Access, stages, cancellation, reopening and deletion have stricter owner or admin requirements.
Step by step
1. Update General
Edit the project name, description and project-specific AI context. The AI context sits below platform and workspace rules and can add constraints such as confidentiality or required terminology.
2. Review the Stage field
Choose the current high-level project status only when a manual correction is required. The lifecycle rail and completion checks also use recorded workflow evidence, so a label alone does not complete outstanding tasks.
3. Control Access
Choose Whole workspace or Restricted, review named members and add a resolved audience of workspace users. Stakeholder contacts are not converted into project members.
4. Maintain Stages & scoring
Owners and admins can change the evaluation approach, switch untouched optional stages, override stream weights and set the winner celebration sound.
5. Maintain Dates
Save target go-live, contract renewal and the supported project deadlines. The rail uses these dates for due and overdue context.
6. Use outcome controls instead of deletion
Complete work normally, cancel stopped work with a reason or reopen when authorised. These actions preserve evidence. Use Danger zone only when the whole project and all dependent evidence must be permanently deleted.
7. Confirm permanent deletion
Only a workspace admin can delete. Open Danger zone, type the exact project name and select Delete this project after verifying the target and retention requirement.
What happens next
• Return to the project overview and verify the rail, dates and visible controls.
• Review restricted membership after team or organisational changes.
Troubleshooting
A settings tab is missing.
Some tabs require the project owner or a workspace admin. Read-only users receive an informational Access view instead of management controls.
Save changes is disabled.
The project may be cancelled or your membership may not allow writing. Ask an admin to reopen a cancelled project or correct access before editing.
Delete this project remains disabled.
Deletion requires workspace-admin status and an exact, case-sensitive match to the displayed project name in the confirmation field.
