Choose and change the evaluation approach and stages
Select a proportionate journey, enable optional stages and set how evidence streams contribute to the project score.
The evaluation approach determines the initial set of workflow stages. It is a starting configuration, not a permanent lock: the project owner or workspace admin can change the approach, enable untouched optional stages and override workspace score weights.
Before you start
• You must be the project owner or a workspace admin to see Stages & scoring.
• Review existing evidence before changing a project that is already under way.
Step by step
1. Open Stages & scoring
From the project, open Settings and select Stages & scoring. Review the saved evaluation approach, current stage switches and whether the project uses workspace or project score weights.
2. Choose a proportionate approach
Full evaluation provides the broadest evidence journey, Streamlined reduces optional work, and Demo-led prioritises practical demonstration. An existing Custom project keeps its custom choice available.
3. Apply the approach change
Select the new approach and Change approach. Disqovr re-seeds the stage rail while retaining core stages and work that has already been completed.
4. Adjust optional stages
Use Evaluation stages to switch an untouched optional stage on or off. A switched-off stage is marked skipped, not completed, so reporting does not imply evidence was collected.
5. Set project score weighting
Enter relative weights for Demo scoring, RFI/RFP, User testing and Sandbox testing. The values express relative importance and do not need to total 100; a zero makes that stream evidence-only.
6. Save or restore defaults
Select Save weights to create a project override. Use workspace default removes the override and restores the current workspace weighting. Set the optional winner celebration sound separately.
What happens next
• Check the lifecycle rail after any approach or stage change.
• Preview Compare once scores exist to confirm the weighting behaves as intended.
Troubleshooting
Stages & scoring is not visible.
The tab is available only to the project owner or a workspace admin. Ask one of them to make the governed change.
A stage switch is disabled.
Completed stages are locked because collected evidence cannot be made not to have happened. Cancel the proposed change or create a new project if the evaluation model must be materially reset.
Compare still shows the old weighting.
Confirm you selected Save weights, then refresh Compare. Recalculate derived scores only when the comparison page offers that action and you intend to refresh them.
