Disqovr vs Responsive
The short answer
Responsive is response-side software: it helps a vendor answer RFPs, RFIs and security questionnaires. Disqovr is buyer-side: it helps the buyer write the questionnaire, collect structured answers from every vendor and score them into a decision that can be defended. The two products are used by opposite parties in the same process, so they are rarely a genuine either-or.
What Disqovr does
Buyer-side software selection — issuing the questionnaire, scoring the answers, making the decision.
What Responsive does
Response management — helping a vendor answer RFPs, RFIs and security questionnaires.
Disqovr vs Responsive, side by side
| Disqovr | Responsiveas they position it | |
|---|---|---|
| Which side of the table | The buyer. You are choosing between vendors. | Positioned at the vendor. You are being chosen between. |
| Core artefact | A weighted comparison across vendors and a decision record you can defend. | Positioned around a completed, reusable response. |
| Where the questionnaire comes from | Built from your own requirements — a capability grid generated from the stakeholder survey, reusable as a template across projects. | Positioned around answering a questionnaire someone else wrote. |
| Deciding | Weighted scoring across demos, RFI responses and end-user testing, rolled into one traceable composite score. | Outside how they describe their product. Ask them whether the product plays any part after the response is submitted. |
| Pricing | A flat monthly subscription for the whole workspace, billed monthly or annually — never per user. Each tier includes a set number of active projects; every tier and its price is on our pricing page, and you can start a 14-day free trial with no card and no sales call. A tier priced “Custom” is quoted on a call. | Ask them — we do not quote another vendor’s pricing. |

When Responsive is the better choice
- You sell software and your team is drowning in RFP and security-questionnaire responses.
- Your win rate depends on turning responses around faster and more consistently.
When Disqovr is the better choice
- You are the buyer and need every vendor answering the same questions in the same structure.
- The decision has to be evidenced to a board, an auditor, or a supplier who lost.
Ask both vendors these
We will not tell you what another product cannot do. These are the questions that actually separate them — put them to us and to Responsive, and compare the answers.
- 1Which side of the RFP is this built for?
- 2Who holds the licence — the buyer or the supplier?
- 3If we are the buyer, what does it cost our vendors to respond?
Common questions
- Is Disqovr an alternative to Responsive?
- No. Responsive is built for the vendor answering an RFP; Disqovr is built for the buyer issuing one. They are used by opposite parties in the same process, so a genuine head-to-head choice is rare.
- We issue RFPs. Do we need response software?
- No — you need the other half. Buyer-side software builds the questionnaire from your requirements, gives each vendor a portal to answer it in, and scores what comes back. Response software is what your suppliers use at their end.
- What do vendors have to buy to respond to a Disqovr RFI?
- Nothing. Vendors answer in a portal branded as yours, with no account to create and no licence to buy. That is deliberate: a questionnaire only produces a like-for-like comparison if every vendor can actually complete it.
