Manage your profile and preferences
Update your identity, security, notification and appearance settings from one personal profile.
My profile holds settings that belong to you rather than the workspace. Your name and profile details help colleagues recognise you, while the other tabs show your access, security and notification choices.
Before you start
• Open your account menu in the top bar and choose My profile.
• Prepare avatar or cover images smaller than 20 MB if you want to upload them.
Step by step
1. Update your identity
Upload an avatar or cover image, then use Profile to edit your first and last name, job title, department, location, phone, timezone, pronouns, LinkedIn URL and bio. Select Save changes.
2. Review Groups & sites
Open Groups & sites to see the workspace groups and locations currently associated with you. These memberships are informational here and may affect audiences and scoped access.
3. Change your password
Open Security, enter and confirm a new password of at least eight characters, and submit the change. Use the normal password-reset flow if you cannot sign in.
4. Choose notifications
Open Notifications and set email delivery for mentions, comments, the weekly digest, product updates and tips. Configure push notifications where the browser and workspace support them, then save.
5. Set appearance and navigation aids
Choose Light, Dark or System under Appearance. Use Getting around to replay the guided tour or manage the installable app experience where supported.
6. Treat Account actions carefully
Open Account only for personal account-level actions. Workspace administration, team membership and billing live in their own areas and are not changed by editing your personal profile.
What happens next
• Select a timezone so dates and deadlines are easier to interpret.
• Keep mention and assignment-related notifications enabled if they are part of your role.
Troubleshooting
The email field cannot be edited.
Email is intentionally read-only on the profile form. Use the supported account or identity-provider process, or contact a workspace administrator or support team for an address change.
An avatar or banner upload fails.
Use a common image format below 20 MB and retry on a stable connection. If the top-bar avatar still shows the old image, refresh after the upload completes.
Save preferences is disabled.
The notification button enables only after a preference changes. Profile details use a separate Save changes button, so save each tab independently.
